Cultural activities de-stress monotony of life

Mysuru: Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Department of Kannada and Culture together had organised a programme titled ‘November – Ekata Thingalu’ at the Sabha premises in Gokulam here recently.

Inaugurating the programme, Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Chennappa opined that cultural activities was a good de-stress tool today to come out of daily monotony of work. He lauded the Sabha for effectively promoting cultural activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijaya Bank Senior Manager Amit C. Shetty opined that cinema, reality shows and TV serials were obscuring Yakshagana and similar arts which need due promotion. Karavali Yakshagana Kendra members presented the Yakshagana ‘Mahisha Mardini.’

Krishna Gana Sabha President B.S. Sridhar Raje Urs, Secretary Mahesh and others were present during the programme.
