Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Krishna Gana Sabha has organised four Memorial Cultural events at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Gokulam 3rd Stage from Dec. 22 to 25.
Dec. 22 – 5.45 pm: Inauguration of Cultural Programmes and 98th Birthday of Legendary Flautist T.R. Mahalingam. Sri Ramakrishna Ashram Mysuru President Swami Mukthidananda will be the chief guest. Gana Sabha President B.S. Sridhararaj Urs will preside; Flute recital by Vid. Vamshidhar accompanied by Vid. Janardhan on violin, Vid. H.L. Shivashankaswamy on mridanga and Vid. M.R. Manjunath on ghata.
Dec. 23 – 6.30 pm: Bharatanatyam by Vidu. Deepti Radhakrishna, B.V. Devaraju and Vidu. Manasvini in memory of S.R. Kumudha, instituted by S.R. Kumudha Charitable Trust. President Nandakumar will inaugurate.
Dec. 24 – 6 pm: Karnatak classical vocal recital by Vid. Ramani Shankar; Vid. M. Keshav on violin, Vid. A. Radhesh on mridanga and Vid. Shamith Gowda on ghata. Event is sponsored by H.R. Srirangarajan in memory of his parents.
Dec. 25 – 6.30 pm: Staging of play ‘Ashadalli Aliya’ by Rangananda Kala Sangha, Mysuru (directed by Rangaswamy) in memory of Byadarahalli Subbaraje Urs. Puduvattu Programme instituted by Sridhararaj Urs.
