Customer stabs supplier to death for asking to pay bill

Mysore/Mysuru: A supplier at a bar in city was reportedly stabbed to death by a customer for giving the bill and asking him to pay. The incident took place at a bar on Manandavadi Road yesterday night.

The deceased has been identified as Nandan Kumar (25), a resident of Ummadahalli village in Mandya district and the accused is Sudhakar, a taxi driver and a resident of Mahadevapura.

Sudhakar, who came to the bar yesterday night, ordered liquor and consumed the same at the bar. Finally, when Nandan, who had supplied liquor, gave him the bill for what he had supplied and asked him to pay, Sudhakar, who refused to pay the bill, picked up a fight following which other customers calmed him down and sent him out of the bar.

About 50 minutes later, Sudhakar, who again came to the bar, took out a knife and stabbed Nandan on his chest. Nandan, who tried to dodge the knife, also sustained injuries on his hand. As Nandan fell down and was bleeding profusely, he was being rushed to a private hospital, but he breathed his last mid way.

Vidyaranyapuram Inspector Raju and staff, rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and have launched a hunt to nab Sudhakar, who has   gone absconding.
