Mysore/Mysuru: District Administration, Zilla Panchayat (ZP) and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) will be jointly organising a mega cycle jatha tomorrow (Sept. 15) as part of International Day of Democracy celebrations. This year, the celebrations will be held with the theme ‘My Vote My Right.’

The 7-km cycle jatha will be flagged off from the DC’s in Siddarthanagar in city at 8.30 am and will pass through main thoroughfares before culminating at the Town Hall premises to garland the statue of Dr. B.R. The District Administration will also be conducting District-level debate, drawing and painting, photography competitions which will be held from Sept. 15 to Nov. 26 for general public and students. The prize distribution for the competitions will be held during the Constitution Day programme on Nov. 26.

Bike Rally: Ten bike riders will be taking out a rally from Mysuru to Bengaluru to take part in the State-level celebrations of International Day of Democracy to be held in Bengaluru tomorrow. The bike rally will be flagged off at 6 am at Kalamandira premises, Mysuru.
