Mysore/Mysuru: Wishing good luck for Indian contingent of sportspersons taking part in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics, the city’s Suvarna Belaku Foundation took out a cycle Jatha and poster campaign in the city yesterday. The Jatha was launched near Ramaswamy Circle, in which senior sportspersons and specially abled sportspersons also took part.
Suvarna Belaku Foundation President Mahesh Nayak said that the country’s sportspersons are expected to win a good number of medals in Tokyo Olympics, which is being held amidst the global COVID crisis.
Maintaining that the Union Government has ably supported the contestants, he said that the support of the Government has raised the confidence levels of the Olympics participants.
Youth leader Vikas Shastri said that India has begin its Olympic campaign with a promising note winning a medal on the first day of the Olympics. He wished the participants to bring more medals for the country.
VKS Foundation Office-bearers Tejas, Pradeep, Gagan, Arun Patil, Gymnast Aradhya and others were present.
