D. Chamaraju (62), a retired LIC employee and a resident of Bogadi, passed away at a private hospital in city last night due to prolonged illness.

A native of Chikka Ankanahalli in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district, he leaves behind his wife M. Prabha (Government High School Head Mistress), children C. Suhas Dhavan, C. Vikash Dhavan, daughter-in-law, grandson and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Kukkarahalli Burial Grounds in Gangothri Layout this afternoon, according to family sources.
