The Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens, Government of Karnataka is running D.Ed Special Education (Hearing Impaired) and D.Ed.Spl.Edu (Visually Impaired) — 2 years Special Education Course — at Tilaknagar, Mysuru.
Special Education D.Ed programmes are equalised to General D.Ed. Candidates who have completed 2nd PUC or 10+2 can apply (Eligibility for 50% marks).
The candidate may obtain application & guidelines from Rehabilitation Council of India website or through https://nber-rehabcouncil.gov.in
Applications should be submitted before Aug. 24.
Placement areas: Candidates completing the course can work as Special Teacher in Government-grant-in-aid schools which run under Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens; Can work as Teacher/ Recourse Teacher in Normal School; Special Teacher in CBSE schools; Can work as Resource Persons and Instructor at District Hospitals; as Resource Teacher in Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana; Can work in Speech Therapy units also.
