D.G. Kailasam (92), retired PWD Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) and a resident of Mandya, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Mysuru, following brief illness.
He leaves behind five sons including Vijaykumar (Superintending Engineer at Cauvery Neeravari Nigam) and Dr. Bhavanishankar, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at his native place Kothanahalli in Maddur taluk today, according to family sources.
