D.K. Shivakumar’s administration has brought a sense of confidence: MLC

Mysuru: The 30-day administration of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has brought a sense of confidence among the general public, said MLC H. Vishwanath.

Addressing mediapersons at Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road here yesterday, he welcomed D.K. Shivakumar’s move to ensure co-ordination and maintain good relationship with the Central Government.

Instead of criticising the central government scheme and welfare programmes, CM D.K. Shivakumar has been moving forward displaying his faith in the federal system which had brought in a sense of confidence among the public, he added.

Stating that education and health facilities should be provided at a free of cost, Vishwanath welcomed the State Government’s decision to issue free bus passes to the students.

Commission for Men

MLA H. Vishwanath, who said that the opportunities and priorities provided to women were being misused, called for establishing a separate Commission for Men to look into atrocities meted against men.

He also stated that Rashtriya Purushara Hitharakshana Samithi was started to fight on behalf of aggrieved men not only in State but throughout the country.

Vishwanath also added that a formal inauguration of the samithi will be held in the coming days.

Rashtriya Purushara Hitharakshana Samithi Founder-President Rajiniraj, Vice-President Nataraj, Treasurer Veda, Samithi’s Mandya Unit President Krishna, Shakuntala and Prameela of Women’s wing were present.
