D.S. Ramesh is new Mysuru Regional Commissioner

Mysore/Mysuru: Senior IAS Officer D.S. Ramesh took charge as the new Mysuru Division Regional Commissioner here on Thursday. The Mysuru Revenue Division has 8 districts — Mysuru, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagalur.

Ramesh, who was serving as the Horticulture Department Director at Bengaluru, has been appointed in place of Dr. G.C. Prakash, who retired upon superannuation on July 31.

Ramesh will also hold additional charge as the Administrative Officer of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).

In other transfers, Dr. Arundhati Chandrashekar, who was serving as RDPR Department Commissioner at Bengaluru, has been posted as Director of Abdul Nazir Sab State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj at Mysuru.
