A stellar second-half performance from Puneri Paltan gave Match 35 a grandstand finish, but it was Dabang Delhi KC who took the victory by a scoreline of 32-30 in a nail-biting encounter at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad yesterday.

Naveen Kumar starred yet again and scored his fourth Super 10 of the season, helping Dabang Delhi KC extend their lead to six points at the top of the Pro Kabaddi Season 7 standings.

In the earlier match, skipper Ajay ‘Iceman’ Thakur led from the front as Tamil Thalaivas defeated Gujarat Fortunegiants 34-28. Thakur scored nine touch points for his side while Mohit Chhillar led the defence with a High 5 and was ably supported by Manjeet Chhillar who scored four tackle points.

Sunil Kumar scored a High 5 for Gujarat Fortunegiants but was unable to keep Tamil Thalaivas from clinching victory in the closing minutes.
