State-Level Inter-Collegiate Fest held

Mysuru: The two-day Daksha Dvithi 2025: Season-2, a State-level Inter-Collegiate Fest of Daksha College was inaugurated by Prof. N. Nagaraja, Registrar (Evaluation), University of Mysore (UoM).

Addressing the gathering, he emphasised that in today’s fast-paced world, competitions are not just beneficial but essential for students’ overall growth.

Prof. D. Anand, Director, Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences (BIMS), UoM, said “While some claim that students are losing interest in competitions, the large participation here proves otherwise. Sonia Umapathi, Secretary, GET, P. Harish, Director of Higher Education and Dr. M.B. Mahesha, Principal, were present.

More than 600 students from over 50 colleges across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar, participated in the competitions held under 15 different categories.

Winners were awarded cash prizes, medals and certificates. Seshadripuram College, Mysuru, emerged overall champions while  runner-up position was jointly secured by MYCAS and Sapient College, Mysuru.
