Dalit Organisation to take out Mysuru-Bengaluru padayatra from tomorrow

August 14, 2024

Bengaluru: Strongly condemning the Valmiki Development Corporation and MUDA site allotment scams, the Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (Bheemavada) will take out a Mysuru – Bengaluru Padayatra from Mysuru tomorrow (Aug. 15).

Addressing a press meet in Bengaluru yesterday, Samiti President R. Mohanraj alleged that the Congress Government has been cheating the SC/ST communities ever since it came to power 15 months ago.

Maintaining that the Government had diverted Rs. 25,000 crore SC/ST development funds for its Guarantee Schemes and other purposes, Mohanraj said that the padayatra, which will be launched from Mysuru on Aug. 15 will reach Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on Aug. 20, following which a memorandum will be submitted to the Governor.
