Mysuru: The third State-level Sammelana of Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi (BDSA) and one-day National seminar, organised by the BDSA State unit will be held at 10 am at Rani Bahadur auditorium at Manasagangothri in city tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, State Unit Chief Cheluvaraju said that national thinker Dr. S.P. Sumanakshar will inaugurate the seminar on the topic ‘Indian Constitution, Social Justice and Mass Responsibility.’ Nidumamidi Mutt Veerabhadra Channamalla Swamiji will preside.
Rajya Sabha Member B.K. Hariprasad and former Minister H.M. Revanna will be the chief guests. Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission (KSBCC) Chairman H. Kantharaj will speak on the topic ‘Indian Constitution and Reservation for Other Backward Classes. Professor and special officer to Raichur University Dr. Muzaffar Assadi will also deliver a lecture on the occasion. Member of Parliament R. Dhruvanarayan and MLA L. Nagendra will be the chief guests
On the same day at 2.30 pm, AICC member Dr. Nagalakshmi and poetess Nagarathna will present their papers on Indian Constitution and Empowerment of Women. At 3.30 pm, Journalism Prof. Mahesh Chandra Guru will speak on Indian Constitution and Economic Democracy. State SC/ST Employees Coordination Committee President Dr. D. Shivashankar will preside.
The valedictory of the programme will be held at 4.30 pm. Historian Prof. Sebastian Joseph will deliver valedictory address. Urilinga Peddi Mutt Jnanaprakash Swamiji, Litteratteur Prof. K.S. Bhagawan, Prof. Dayanand Mane, Progressive Farmer Rathnaja, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna will take part.
