Mysuru: Alleging that atrocities against Dalits and women are on the rise across the country, over 100 Dalit students, under the banner of University of Mysore Research Scholars Association and Dalit Vidyarthi Okkoota, staged a demonstration near the University Clock Tower in Manasagangothri campus this morning.
The protesters urged the Government to take urgent measures to stop crimes against Dalits and to take stern action against all those perpetrating crimes against Dalits and women.
Student leaders J. Shivamurthy, B. Murthy, Doddaraju, Naveen, Chandramouli and others led the demonstration.
