Dance-drama on Buddha steals the show

Mysuru: Students of Ganabharathi Sangeetha-Nritya Shaale presented a delightful dance-drama at the Dasara cultural programme held at Mysore Palace premises here last evening. The students excellently portrayed the childhood of Siddarta, his adolescence period, his renunciation of worldly pleasures and becoming a monk and ultimately Gautama Buddha.

Earlier, noted Bharatanatya dancer Yamini Muthanna and troupe from Bengaluru presented Siddhi Yoga Nritya Samyama while Ajay Kumar and troupe from Andhra Pradesh presented a dance on plates. Well-known singer Shubha Mudgal rendered Hindustani music concert.
