Mysuru/Mysore: Bringing honour to the city, Mysuru DAR (District Armed Reserve) Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar has been accorded the President’s Police medal marking the Republic Day, for his distinguished service.

Rajkumar was considered for the medal for his service to the Police Department during his 30-year tenure. Rajkumar who joined the Police Department in 1990, had served in Mysuru and Bengaluru earlier. Currently serving at Mysuru DAR, Rajkumar is a resident of DAR Police quarters at Jyothinagar in the city.

Gonikoppa (Kodagu): Ammanda G. Cariappa, Dy.SP, Lokayukta SIT, has bagged the President’s medal for his meritorious services.

A native of Gonikoppa in Kodagu district, Cariappa had also bagged the Chief Minister’s medal in 2007. Having joined the Police Department as a Sub-Inspector 24 years ago, Cariappa has served at many places in the State and is currently serving as Lokayukta Dy.SP, SIT, Bengaluru.
