Mysuru: Over 4,500 pots with about 30 varieties of flower plants have blossomed with colourful flowers at Crawford Hall premises here which will be shifted to the banks of Kukkarahalli Lake where the Dasara Flower Show, organised by Mysore University, would commence from Sept. 20.

SAY IT WITH FLOWERS: Flower show is one of the major attractions
during Dasara celebrations. The workers at Zilla Panchayat premises
are seen arranging the pots in an orderly fashion.

For the last 11 years, the Mysore University has been organising the Flower Show at the Lake. Three months in advance, about 37 trained staff of Horticulture Department of Mysore University, readied the pots with soil and planted the seeds of the flower plants. The pots were periodically nurtured with fertilizers and nutrients resulting in the plants bearing flowers and blossoming now. The attractive flowers have been drawing the attention of the public who are posing for selfies with them.
