Mysuru: The Horticulture Department is planning a grand Dasara Flower Show at Kuppanna Park this time. At the Flower Show, apart from the regular flower displays, giant flower structures replicating monuments of wonder are the main attraction.

According to sources, this time, the Department is planning to replicate the Gopura of Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple. The second option is to replicate the historic Red Fort in New Delhi. The third option is to design the model of the ship in which Vasco-da-Gama came to India for the first time. Discussions are on in the Department as to the amount of flowers required to build the models and the necessary support structure to hold the displays, sources said. These models will sport different flowers and exotic orchids will be a part of replicas.
