Dasara jumbos in relax mood; farewell tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: A day after the successful Jumboo Savari, the last leg of Dasara, all the nine elephants including the howdah elephant Abhimanyu were in relax mood at Palace shelter this morning. While a total of 14 elephants were brought to Mysuru from various elephant camps, only nine were taken out for procession yesterday.

Abhimanyu, who performed his role for consecutive fourth year with elan, was given a hot water bath, to check the body pain,  after the arduous task of carrying 750-kg Golden Howdah, on nearly five-km Raja Marga from Palace to Bannimantap.

On the other hand, tourists were seen flocking the elephant shelter in large numbers this morning, only to have a selfie with their favourite elephants, without whom Dasara is incomplete.
