Dasara Kavigoshti: Entries invited

Mysuru: The State Government has formed Kavigoshti Sub-Committee for the upcoming Nada Habba Dasara.

Dasara Kavigoshti Sub-Committee has invited applications from poets to take part in the five-day Dasara Kavigoshti to be organised at B.M. Sri Auditorium, Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, Manasagangothri, from Oct. 13 to Oct. 17.

This year’s Dasara Kavigoshti will feature Yuva Kavigoshti, Chiguru Kavigoshti, Hasya/Chutuku Goshti, Janapada Kavyagoshti and the main Kavigoshti. Those willing to take part in Yuva Kavigoshti must have published at least one poetry collection. Poets willing to participate in Chiguru Kavigoshti, Hasya/Chutuku Goshti and Janapada Kavyagoshti must submit a copy of their poem or poetry along with the application.

Dasara Kavigoshti Sub-Committee will also be giving an opportunity for one poet from all districts in the State to participate in main Kavigoshti. Poets willing to participate must have published two of poetry collections.

Poets who have participated in Dasara Kavigoshti for the past two years will not be given an opportunity to participate this year. Last date for submission of the applications along with required details is Sept. 15.
