In memory of scholar late Shikaripura Harihareshwara, Hoysala Kannada Sangha & Savigannada Patrika Balaga and Sri Mahajana Sabha have organised a Dasara Painting Contest for children at Krishnamurthypuram Sri Rama Mandira in city on Sept.21 at 1.30 pm, which will be inaugurated by senior artist and Mysore Art Gallery Founder L. Shivalingappa. Hoysala Kannada Sangha Working President Maddikere Gopal will preside over the event. Well-known artist and writer Dr. Jamunarani Mirle and social worker Dr. Pushpa Iyengar will be the chief guests. Hoysala Kannada Sangha Hon. President B.P. Ashwathanarayana and journalist Ranganath Mysore will be present. Interested children or parents on behalf of their children can register their names at the venue before 12 noon and can select ‘Mysuru Palace’ or ‘Dasara Procession (Jumboo Savari)’ as the theme for their painting, according to a press release from the Sangha.
