Dasara Unified Ticketing System launched

Mysuru: Dasara Special Officer and Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep launched the Dasara Unified Ticketing System at his office, here this morning.

The single ticket enables tourists to visit six different locations – Mysore Palace, Zoo, Karanji Lake, Chamundi Hill, KRS and Ranganathittu.  The tickets are available online at www.bookmyshow.com, offline at Deputy Commissioner’s office and Tourism Department kiosk at City Railway Station.

Visitors can select the places among the six tourist spots they would like to visit or can visit all six places. However, entry fee would charged depending on the number places they choose.

The validity of tickets is 15 days from the date of purchase. Bar-codes in the tickets are scanned at the entrance of each location. Once a person accesses a tourist location, he cannot visit the same place with the same ticket again.

The ticket system is launched as a pilot project for three months and depending on the response the authorities will decided on the continuation of the project.
