Dawn-to-Dusk Drive by City Traffic Police

Mysuru: In an effort to make motorists follow traffic rules, City Traffic Police, headed by the Traffic Inspectors of V.V. Puram, Narasimharaja, Krishnaraja, Devaraja and Siddhartha Traffic Police Stations, conducted a day-long massive drive against traffic violators in city, this morning.

The Police personnel conducted checking for over 40 different violations including helmetless riding, triple riding, using mobile phone, parking in ‘No parking’ zones, overtaking, over-speeding, signal jumping and drunken-driving at various circles, main roads and junctions.

The City Police have been conducting similar drives on every Mondays.

It may be recalled that the City Traffic Police had also launched a drive to seize and destroy unsafe and duplicate helmets that are being sold on the roadsides.
