Day-long Yuvotsava in Mysuru on Aug. 27

As part of International Youth Day, city-based GRAAM (Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement), in association with Department of Social Work, University of Mysore (UoM) and GSS Groups, will be organising a one-day ‘Yuvotsava’ event at Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri campus on Aug. 27. Announcing this at a press meet here on Wednesday, GRAAM Executive Director Dr. Basavaraj R. Shreshta said that MP Yaduveer Wadiyar will inaugurate the event at 11 am on Aug. 27, in the presence of UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath and other dignitaries.

The day-long event will feature street plays on social justice, education and economical empowerment, climate change etc. It also features poster-making, quiz contests and reel-making contest, he said.

MLA Darshan Dhruvanarayan, MCC Commissioner Ashaad Ur Rahman Shariff, Srihari of GSS and other dignitaries will attend. Srihari, Bhagavan Bidarakote, Sinchana M. Gowda and Vishnu were present at the press meet.
