DC asks families of COVID victims to apply for relief

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Bagadi Gautham said that such families of COVID victims who have not yet received Government relief, can apply to the concerned Tahsildar along with all supporting documents for seeking relief.

In a press release, Dr. Gautham said that relief has already been paid to families of COVID victims. But still some families are claiming that they are yet to get relief. Hence, such families can apply at the concerned Tahsildar’s Office along with all supporting documents for State Government relief of Rs.50,000.

The legal heirs of COVID victims can apply at their respective Hobli-level Naadakacheri or the Taluk Office or the Corporation Office, along with Health Officer certified documents. Pointing out that the District Administration had received a total of 1,993 applications, he said that relief has been paid to 819 BPL families and 846 APL families.

The applicants have to submit records such as COVID positive report issued by a listed Lab, Clinical Radiology reports, treatment reports and other Lab reports, certified by the Taluk or District Health Officer. Also, the applicants must attach a copy of Aadhaar card of the deceased, Death Certificate, a copy of ration card, Aadhaar card and Bank Pass book of the applicant, a self-declaration Form (Form-2) and a No-objection Certificate (Form-3) signed by all members of the claimant’s family.

Also, such families which have so far not got relief even after applying, can apply at the Office of the Assistant Director of Social Security and Pensions Wing, the release said.
