DC orders allotment of houses at Ekalavyanagar

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep has directed the authorities to allot 1,040 houses built by Karnataka Slum Clearance Board (KSCB) under JnNURM scheme at Ekalavyanagar, to deserving beneficiaries.

Presiding over a review meeting of development of slums at his office here recently, the DC said that 350 houses in Ekalavyanagar have already been allotted and occupied by beneficiaries.

Pointing out that the KSCB  has sought some documents from families staying in make-shift sheds at Sonia Gandhi Nagar and Nellur Colony, the DC said that the residents of these Colonies will be allotted 252 houses built in Ekalavyanagar or Kesare.

The DC directed the officials to prepare a list of beneficiaries from residents of Ramanna Circle and Medar Block and distribute them houses in Ekalavyanagar.

The DC also instructed the officials to prepare an estimate for drinking water facility at Ekalavyanagar and invite tender for its execution.

KSCB Chief Engineer Kapani Gowda, Tahsildar Ramesh Babu and other officials were present  during the meeting.
