DC visits COVID War Room, lauds service of volunteers

Mysore/Mysuru: With COVID cases showing a declining trend in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rohini Sindhuri yesterday visited the COVID War Room set up in the new DC’s Office at Siddarthanagar in the city.

A good number of volunteers who  include NCC Cadets, teachers, members of various organisations, Gram Panchayat personnel and other civilians from all ages, are serving at the COVID War Room, appropriately guiding and helping the callers who seek information about availability of beds and oxygen, COVID treatment facilities etc.

NCC Care-taker Officer Mamatha Prasad conducted the DC at the Helpline Desk. The cadets explained their working and charter of duties. 

Rohini Sindhuri lauded the services of all the volunteers and the generosity of Helping Hands organisation which has taken up the responsibility of supplying food to volunteers.

Additional DC Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy, Assistant Commissioner N.C. Venkataraju, Triage Nodal Officer Dr. B.S. Seethalakshmi, Bed Management Officer Lt. Col. Dr. S.U. Ashok, SAST Nodal Officer Dr. Monisha, Sanjay Manohar, Sunil Jetti and others were present.
