DDPI Office Gazetted Assistant trapped while taking bribe from PE teacher

Mysore/Mysuru: A Gazetted Assistant at the Office Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) was trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths while he was allegedly taking bribe from a Physical Education (PE) teacher for sanctioning time bound increment here yesterday.

H.V. Ramesh is the trapped Gazetted Assistant, who works in DDPI Office, Mysuru. He had allegedly demanded Rs.5,000 from Prasanna Kumar, PE teacher at Madapura Govt. High School, Mysuru Taluk. The teacher had paid Rs.3,000 in advance but Ramesh was pestering him for more money.

Agitated over this, Prasanna Kumar filed a complaint at ACB SP Office. Based on this, ACB Dy.SP Parashuramappa, Inspectors Karim Ravatar and K.Niranjan, and others, under the guidance of SP Arunamkshugiri, laid trap. Ramesh was caught red-handed while receiving Rs.2,000 bribe.
