Debt-ridden farmer commits suicide

Mysuru:  A young farmer ended his life by consuming pesticide tablets following his failure to repay debts at Yelwal Police limits here.

The deceased farmer is Lakshman (37), son of Kendagannaswamy of Kambralli village coming under Yelwal Police limits.

Lakshman had taken a loan of about Rs. 5 lakh for agriculture purpose and unable to repay the loans, Lakshman allegedly consumed pesticide tablets on Oct. 11 and had fallen sick.

He was rushed to K.R. Hospital in city where he breathed his last yesterday morning. 

A case has been registered at Yelwal Police Station.
