Debt-ridden man commits suicide

Mysuru: A 45-year-old man, who had taken loans and unable to repay the same, has committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Kuvempunagar Police limits.

The deceased is Yogananda, a resident of MCDCC Bank Colony, near Revenue Layout.

It is alleged that Yogananda, who had taken loans, was unable to repay the same and his wife too had reportedly applied for a divorce. Depressed and not knowing what to do, Yogananda is said to have taken the extreme step about three days back.

The suicide came to light when foul smell began to emanate from the house following which the neighbours informed the Police yesterday. A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station.
