Defence Food Research Laboratory too will organise two-day exhibition
Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) that plays a pivotal role and serves India’s core sectors like defence, rail, power, mining and infrastructure is organising a seven-day exhibition ‘Journey of BEML Since 1964,’ showcasing its capabilities in both defence and non-defence segments from Dec. 13 (tomorrow) to Dec. 19.
The exhibition will be inaugurated virtually by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on Dec. 13 between 3.15 and 3.45 pm. The venue of the event will be BEML Grounds, opposite the main gate BEML Mysuru Complex, Belavadi between 10 am and 5 pm on all days.
The students of local schools, colleges and professional institutions and the general public at large are expected to attend the exhibition. This will be a unique and one-of-its-kind opportunity for all to have a first-hand glimpse of the various iconic and marquee products manufactured by BEML for use by the country’s defence forces and other allied sectors.
The exhibition will be conducted in strict adherence to all COVID-related protocols.
DFRL to showcase prowess
An exhibition to showcase new technologies and products for the armed forces will be held opposite the North Gate of Mysore Palace (Balarama Gate) on December 13 and 14.
According to a press release, Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysuru and Defence Bioengineering and Electro-Medical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bengaluru, will be organising the two-day-long “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Exhibition to mark 75 years of Independence.
Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru Dr. Bagadi Gautham will inaugurate the indoor exhibition while Mysuru City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta will inaugurate the outdoor exhibition at 10 am on Dec. 13 (tomorrow). The exhibition will remain open from 10.30 am to 5 pm on both the days.
