Delightful Bharatanatyam recitals on May 21

Mysore/Mysuru: Classical dance connoisseurs of the city are in for a scintillating Bharatanatyam recital organised by Naatya Sabha, Mysuru, on May 21 at 6 pm.

The solo performances by talented and brilliant young artistes K.M. Samiksha and Pooja Sugam will be held at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in city.

K.M. Samiksha is a promising multi-talented young artiste. She is pursuing MA in Bharatanatyam from KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru. She was initiated to dance by Guru Ambale Rajeshwari and to flute by late Guru A.V. Prakash and presently pursuing advanced training in Bharatanatyam from Vijayakumar, Chennai; and flute from Guru A.P. Krishna Prasad. She is ably guided in natuvanga by Guru Nagai P. Sriram, Chennai.

Pooja Sugam is a multifaceted and talented artiste bestowed with the graceful art forms of music and dance.

Pooja is imbibing techniques of traditional Bharatanatyam in Pandanallur style from her mother and Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke and presently is pursuing advanced training from Guru Vijayakumar, Chennai. Pooja has completed MA in Bharatanatyam from Fine Arts College, University of Mysore. She has successfully completed Proficiency Grade examination from KSEEB. She is guided in natuvanga by Guru Nagai P. Sriram.
