Demand for combo ticket at Mysuru Zoo goes up

Mysuru: Demand for combo ticket to view Mysuru Zoo and Karnaji Lake is increasing day by day. Nearly 35 tourists are making use of this offer to walk through the Connecting Path to enter Karnaji Lake.

Even though Karanji Lake is in the jurisdiction of the Zoo, still people had to buy two separate tickets. In the light of this during last Dasara, a combo offer was made to view both the places. Besides, Rs.10 discount was also offered. The entry ticket for the Zoo was fixed at Rs.80 and for Karanji Lake Rs.30. However, in the combo ticket the visitors have to pay Rs.100 thus saving Rs.10.

After purchasing the combo ticket the visitors after viewing the Zoo could go to Karanji Lake using the connecting path that begins near the Aquarium. The visitors going to Karanji Lake from the Zoo would return to the Zoo and exit from the main entrance or would leave from the Karanji Lake entrance.

Nearly 30 to 40 visitors are making use of the combo facility now to see both the Zoo and Karanji Lake. However, due to paucity of time lot of visitors skip Karanji Lake and move to different places. But the authorities are confident that more and more visitors in the future would make use of the combo offer.

During last Dasara for the benefit of the tourists the combo offer was introduced by reducing Rs.10. This resulted in the selling of more combo tickets. We are confident that in the coming days more and more visitors will buy combo tickets and view both the Zoo and Karanji Lake, says Ajit M. Kulkarni, Zoo Executive Director.
