Demanding Memorial, Vishnu Sena to launch indefinite fast from Dec.26

Mysuru:  Urging the Government to construct the proposed Vishnu Memorial soon, members of Vishnu Sena Sanghatane (VSS) would launch an indefinite fast from Dec.26 at the proposed site for the Memorial near Ubdur Gate on H.D. Kote Road.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, VSS Mandya District President T.S. Srikanta said that several pleas to the Government for the last nine years to construct the Vishnu Memorial had gone in vain. He further said that the local farmers had brought in a stay from the Court for the construction. He urged Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and elected representatives to solve the problem of the farmers to pave way for the construction of the Memorial. He added that over 25 organisations have extended support for the stir.

VSS office-bearers Raju Gowda, N. Suresh, Bettaswamy Gowda and Chandru were present.
