Demonstration of ‘Kalari’ at Rangayana on Jan. 14

A special demonstration of ‘Kalari’ has been organised at B.V. Karanth Rangachavadi in Rangayana premises on the occasion of the theatre repertory’s Foundation Day on Jan. 14 at 5.30 pm. Kerala’s well-known ‘Kalari’ expert Vinod Kadangal has been training students of ‘Bharatiya Rangavidyalaya’ in Kalari for the past 20 days and they will be presenting Kalari. Martial arts expert and ‘Sadhvi’ Daily Founder C. Maheshwaran will be the chief guest.

On the occasion, Anju Singh, who hails from Manipur and has been serving in Rangayana Mysuru for the past 32 years as a Kalari teacher, will be felicitated.

Rangayana Mysuru Director Addanda C. Cariappa will preside. Rangayana Dy. Director Nirmala Mathapati and Bharatiya Rangavidyalaya Head S. Ramanath will be present. Bharatiya Rangavidyalaya, a year-long Diploma course in connection with theatre, which is affiliated to KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, has been educating the candidates in various theatre activities, since 12 years.
