T. Narasipur: Depressed over her husband having extra marital relationship with another woman, a 30-year-old woman reportedly hanged her two daughters and ended her life by hanging self at Ramegowdanapura in the taluk on Monday night.
The deceased are Roja, wife of Ningaraju and her daughters Pushpanjali (5) and Geetanjali (3).
Roja was given in marriage to Ningaraju of Mavinahalli about 10 years ago and the couple had two daughters. It is learnt that frequent fights used to take place between the couple over financial issues and recently, Ningaraju had allegedly assaulted Roja and was pestering her to go to her parents’ house.
Police said that Roja, who went to her parents’ house, hanged her two daughters on Monday night and also hanged herself. It is learnt that Ningaraju’s illicit relationship with another woman was the cause for Roja to take the extreme step.
Dy.SP Shivakumar visited the spot. A case has been registered at T. Narasipur Town Police Station and Circle Inspector Krishnappa is investigating.
