DFRL cashier arrested for siphoning off Rs. 50 lakh

Mysuru: A cashier at Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) at Siddarthanagar, who had siphoned off Rs. 50 lakh student stipend amount since five years has been arrested by the Nazarbad Police on Saturday.

The arrested is Pavan Kumar Singh, an Admin Assistant (B) and Cashier. He had not paid the stipend totalling Rs. 50 lakh released by the Central Government for the students, who studied between 2013 and 2019 and had transferred the funds to his personal account. He had used the funds for his personal gain. 

Following the complaint from DFRL officials, Nazarbad Police arrested Pavan.
