Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Posts is holding the National-level Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign on the theme “Vision for India 2047” under the “Vision 2047” for FY 2022-23. The campaign will be held from 1.7.2022 to 31.10.2022. Letters posted after 31.10.2022 will not be accepted.
Karnataka Postal Department has invited letters from all the school and college students across the State. The competition will be held under two categories — one is upto 18 years and another above 18 years. Letters can be written in Hindi, Kannada and English languages.
The written letters must be posted to their respective area Post Office Senior Superintendents before Oct. 31. The details with respect to Superintendents address are available in website https://karnataka.gov.in.
Winners of both the categories in division-level will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 25,000 (first), Rs. 10,000 (second) and Rs. 5,000 (third) while the national-level winners will get Rs. 50,000 (first), Rs. 25,000 (second) and Rs. 10,000 (third).
The letter can be written on plain A-4 size paper with a word limit of not more than 1,000 words under envelope category, or in an Inland Letter Card (ILC) with a word limit of not more than 500 words for ILC category. Only handwritten letters will be accepted. The embossed envelope / envelope with required stamp affixed and Inland Letter Card (ILC) will be the permitted stationery for participating in the campaign. The participants have to give a certificate of proof of their age on the letter such as “I certify that I am below/above the age of 18 as on 1.1.2022. The final result at Circle level will be declared by 25.12.2022, according to a press release.
