Mysore/Mysuru: Dharmasthala Bhaktara Okkuta, Mysuru, has planned to stage a demonstration in Dharmasthala on Sept. 2, to extend their support to Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, in the wake of alleged conspiracy to defame the shrine in the name of Dharmasthala ‘mass burial’ case.
Addressing media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, Okkuta Convenor Narayan V. Hegde said, under the slogan ‘Heggade avare nimmondige naviddeve’ (Heggade, We Are With You), about 1,000 people, including hotel owners, social activists, women and others, will be leaving for Dharmasthala in buses, from Vinoba Road near Nanjaraj Bahadur Choultry on Sept. 2 at 5 am.
A symbolic protest will be staged at Dharmasthala, before meeting Dr. Veerendra Heggade, to instil courage in the latter.
Activists Hemanth, Mahaveer Jain, Rajesh Bore and H.V. Chandru were present at the press meet.
