Statue of Sangha’s Founder-Secretary K. Puttaswamy to be unveiled
Mysuru: The Diamond Jubilee celebration of Vidyavardhaka Sangha will be held at Vidyavardhaka Engineering College in Gokulam 3rd Stage tomorrow (Dec. 8) at 10.30 am.
To commemorate the birth centenary of former Minister and Founder-Secretary of Vidyavardhaka Sangha late K. Puttaswamy, his statue would be unveiled at the engineering college premises by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah who will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of the college extension building.
Also, a book titled ‘Vidhana Mandaladalli Sri K. Puttaswamy’ will be released and the photos of Founder-Members of the Sangha will be unveiled on the occasion.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Adichunchanagiri Seer Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji will grace the occasion.
Sangha Hon. President Gundappa Gowda will preside. Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Marithibbegowda, District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, MP Pratap Simha, MLAs M.K. Somashekar, G.T. Devegowda and Vasu, Mayor M.J. Ravikumar and MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar will be the chief guests.
Sangha’s Hon. Vice-President B. Shivalingappa, Hon. Secretary P. Vishwanath, Hon. Treasurer S.N. Lakshminarayana and others will be present.
