Indian children have inherited a strong gene: Swamiji
Mysore/Mysuru: “Indian children have inherited a strong gene because our ancestors lived a very disciplined, studious and healthy life and children of no other country have such a strong gene,” said Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswati, President, Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram, Gadag & Vijayapura.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the 28th Annual Pratibha Puraskar presentation ceremony organised by the city’s Dinesh Coaching Centre at Kalamandira here yesterday.
Maintaining that our children are great, Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswati said that it is, however, unfortunate that our children have no knowledge about it and hence, it is important that we educate them in this regard. The Saints of the times of Vedas, Tretayuga and Dwapara Yuga lived an ideal and spiritual life and this has gone down into the blood of our children, he noted.
On the occasion, 96 students of Dinesh Coaching Centre, who passed out SSLC (2024-25) scoring high marks, including M. Dhanush and Ananya R. Nayak, the State’s second rank holders (State syllabus) and Pradyumna M. Harith, State topper in CBSE, were presented Pratibha Puraskar. Also, prizes were distributed to the winners of the District-level Debate Competition and several other contests organised by the Coaching Centre.
M.S. Janardhan, retd. Lecturer, Sri Swayam Prakasha Saraswati High School, Narve, Chikkamagalur, N.V. Dinesh, Founder of Dinesh Coaching Centre and others were present.
