Overall Trophy for BVB School
Mysuru: A District-level Inter-High School Kannada Debate Contest on the topic ‘Antararashtriya Gadisamasyege Yuddave Parihara’ (War is the solution for international border issues) was organised by Dinesh Coaching Centre at Rotary West auditorium in Saraswathipuram here yesterday.
Inaugurating the programme, Dr. C.S. Anil Kumar, Director, Dikshit Arogyadhama, explained the importance of debating in daily life highlighting the linkage between mind and wisdom.
Over 50 students from various schools in the district participated in the contest vociferously placing their points for and against the topic.
The first prize of Rs. 2,000 was won by Roshini, a student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) High School. K. Prakruti of Vijaya Vittala School won the second prize of Rs. 1,500 and M. Deepika of Sharada Public School won the third prize of Rs. 1,000.
Two consolation prizes were given away to D. Nidhi of BVB School and Shobha Patil of JSS Kannada Medium School, Suttur.
The overall trophy was bagged by BVB School.
N.V. Dinesh, Head of Dinesh Coaching Centre, welcomed the gathering and Prashanth Raj compered the programme.
