Discourse on ‘Chikka Devaraja Wadiyar Vinnappam’

Mysuru:  Sri Andal Mandiram Trust, V.V. Mohalla, has organised a special discourse in Tamil on ‘Chikka Devaraja Wadiyar Vinnappam,’ a rare work of Mysore Maharaja, by Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy from May 5 to May 8 from 6.30 pm onwards at the Mandiram premises.

Profile: Religious lecturer and Ubhaya Vedanta scholar, Sri U.Ve. Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy is the son of Sri U.Ve. Velukkudi Varadachariar Swamy, who was also his Guru. A Chartered and Cost Accountant, his spiritual services started in the year 1991. He relinquished a senior position in a MNC in 1996 and dedicated to spiritualism from then on.  He knows four languages — Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi and English. He is proficient in Bhagavad Gita, Alwars Nalayira Divyaprandam, Srimad Ramayanam, Srimad Bhagavatam, Vishnu Puranam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Upanishads and almost all vaishnavite scripts. Swamy delivers about 400 discourses in a year. He travels relentlessly for 200 days in a year to deliver the messages of our great preceptors and to strengthen Sanatana Dharma. He has completed 28 years of yeoman service through continuous delivery of religious discourses. He has given thousands of lectures all over India and in many countries abroad. He has the unique accolade of publishing more than 400 MP3 CDs on various subjects containing over 5,000 hours of talk time.  His CDs on the fundamentals of Sanatana Dharma had grand reception. He has authored two books ‘Kannanin Mukangulul Ezhu’ and ‘Naan Kanda Nalladu.’ Sri Krishnan Swamy is very popular in various TV Channels like Podigai, Star Vijay, Jaya, SVBC and Sankara. He is one of the very few who has appeared in various TV channels 5 days a week without a break for 10 years.

He has won many awards and titles such as Bala Vaag Amruthavashi, Upanyasa Kanteerava, Pravachana Sangeetha Bhushana, among others.
