Mysore/Mysuru: The measurement taking exercise of specially abled citizens for distribution of artificial limbs under the joint aegis of Lions International, Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), Ashray Seva Sansthan and Jain Milan Charitable Trust, will be held at Samata Bhavan in Nazarbad on Nov. 2.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Sunday, Lions International Secretary Hemanth Kumar Bhansali said that prosthetics equipment are being distributed to beneficiaries since 1991. This year, it has been decided to distribute them to 200 beneficiaries, for which the measurement taking exercise will be held from 8 am to 6 pm on Nov. 2. The needy disabled persons have to bring their Aadhaar card, a full body photograph and the disability certificate issued by doctors, he said. If not, the doctors will issue disability certificate at the spot after examination.
Registration has already begun in Mysuru, Nanjangud, Hubballi-Dharwad and other parts of the State, Bhansali said adding that distribution of artificial limbs will take place within 45 days of taking measurement.
