Distribution of food, grocery to the needy continues

In a bid to ward off hunger of the poor and the needy, various organisations have been distributing food and grocery items across the city from the time the lockdown was announced.

Hotel Owners’ Association

The members of Mysuru Hotel Owners’ Association distributed food packets to over 400 poor people at Kumbarakoppal in city yesterday. The Association, led by its President C. Narayanagowda, along with Corporator Pailwan Srinivas, also distributed lunch to the patients and their family members at Jayadeva Hospital and Epidemic Diseases (ED) Hospital in city.

Rajeev Sneha Balaga

Members of Rajeev Sneha Balaga distributing food packets to those housed in one of the shelter homes in city. The Balaga has been distributing food to the needy since 12 days and has distributed more than 3,000 food packets so far.

Former Mayor distributes grocery at slum

Former Mayor Sandesh Swamy distributed grocery items to over 130 families living in slum at Kalyangiri in Ward No. 35. Also, Corporator Satvik Sandesh Swamy distributed rice, dal and other items to the families of labourers, who are without work following the lockdown.
