Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary Celebrations

Mysuru: District Administration will be conducting ‘Dr. B.R. Ambedkar – Tamagido Namma Gaurava Namana’ programme as part of Dr. Ambedkar’s 126th Birth Anniversary celebrations in city on July 20 at 5 pm.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting at his office yesterday, DC D. Randeep said that the programme has been organised at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple.

Prior to the stage programme, the statute of Dr. Ambedkar in the Town Hall premises will be garlanded. Later, the artistes will play percussion instruments between 6 pm to 6.30 pm as part of the programme organised in all District Headquarters throughout the State. The programme will also include special lectures on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, recital of progressive songs, folk art performance and others. The DC instructed officials to take part in the three-day International Convention on Dr. Ambedkar to held in Bengaluru from July 21.
