The two-day District-level Sports Meet of Karnataka State Government Employees Association will take place in city on Feb. 12 and 13.
Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Association’s Mysuru District President J. Govindaraju said that the Meet will be held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, University of Mysore Sports Grounds, Manasagangothri Indoor Stadium and Rotary West Auditorium.
The Meet will be inaugurated at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad at 10 am on Feb. 12 and the valedictory will take place at 4 pm on Feb. 13.
He said that sports events include many outdoor and indoor games such as hockey, football, volleyball, wrestling, kabaddi, basketball, badminton, table tennis, chess, athletics and cricket, while cultural competitions include Hindustani music, light music, Karnatak music, folk songs, dance, instrumental music, plays etc.
Govindaraju further said that the two-day Meet will also feature a Handicraft Expo at Chamundi Vihar Stadium.
