Mysuru: A District-level Inter-High School Kannada Debate Contest on the topic ‘Makkalalli Samajika Javabdhari Belesuvalli Shalegaliginta Kutumbada Pathrave Hechhu’ (The role of family is more than schools in developing social responsibilities among children) has been organised at Rotary West auditorium in Saraswathipuram on Aug.12 at 9.30 am, under the aegis of Dinesh Coaching Centre.
M.N. Mohan Kumar, retired Assistant at Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB), will inaugurate the contest.
First three prize winners will be awarded Rs.2,000, Rs.1,500 and Rs.1,000 respectively and two consolation prize winners will be awarded Rs.500 each.
A team of two students can participate from each school — one should speak for the topic and another against the topic given; 3+1 minute time will be given to each participant.
Interested may register their names before Aug.9 at Dinesh Coaching Centre in Kuvempunagar and must confirm participation before 9 am on Aug.12 at the contest venue. Registration is free.
