September 30, 2024

Mysuru: Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa conducted an inspection yesterday at the Yuva Dasara event site near Uttanahalli, on the city’s outskirts.

During discussions with officials, he highlighted the importance of Yuva Dasara, a key attraction of the grand Dasara festivities, drawing crowds from Mysuru and surrounding districts. He asked officials to ensure all essential facilities are in  place to accommodate the large audience.

Emphasising security, especially with the event extending late into the night, the Minister called for stringent measures to guarantee safety, particularly for women.

He insisted that additional precautions be taken to ensure a secure environment throughout the celebration. Streetlights along the route must be installed to facilitate safe passage for attendees, and clear signage should be placed at the parking area to manage the flow of vehicles effectively.

With the significant influx of young attendees, Dr. Mahadevappa underscored the need for meticulous planning to avoid any disruption. He urged law enforcement to ensure no gaps in security, stressing the importance of preventive measures during the night festivities.

Accompanying him were senior DIGP Southern Range Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, Zilla Panchayat CEO K.M. Gayathri, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, District Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan, Assistant Commissioner K.R. Rakshith, and other                       key officials.
